Dive into AR, VR and AI (Nov 2020)

Join Rebecca Vivian and Martin Richards as they dive into the world of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)! They demonstrate a range of student-friendly tools and apps that can provide exciting learning experiences and engage students as content creators, along with ways to implement these in primary and secondary classrooms. Rebecca and Martin will share CSER and the Hub's latest resources that aim to support and inspire teachers and schools with the growing field of emerging technologies, including lesson plans with classroom-ready activities and assessment advice. They will also highlight what to look for when viewing the terms and conditions of use for these online tools and applications.

Presenters: Dr Rebecca Vivian, The Computer Science Education Research Group (CSER) at The University of Adelaide. Dr Rebecca Vivian is a Research Fellow and Learning Scientist in the CSER Group, who has experience in teacher professional development with expertise in K-12 Digital Technologies Education and technology-enhanced learning. Martin Richards is an experienced educator and the Content Manager for the Digital Technologies Hub, leading the development and curation of content and support for teachers, families, and students.
